About the Yenching Academy:

Yenching Academy of Peking University offers an elite, interdisciplinary Master's program in China Studies. This specially designed, English-taught degree program aims to push the study of China beyond the boundaries of traditionally defined Humanities and Social Sciences disciplines. All Yenching Scholars receive a full fellowship that covers tuition, one round-trip journey to Beijing, basic insurance, and living costs.

Each year the Yenching Academy admits 120 scholars from 40+ countries and regions. In addition to coursework, scholars participate in field studies and self-designed research trips, taking advantage of opportunities to customize and maximize their experiences in Beijing, and within China’s leading university.

Agostina Blengino (2019 Cohort)

Agostina Blengino 白潇 was born and raised in Argentina. She graduated from the Catholic University of Argentina with a bachelor’s degree in International Relations. Agostina developed an interest in Chinese and East-Asian affairs while working as an academic assistant to Carlos Moneta. She then worked as an international affairs adviser at the Buenos Aires City Government, focusing on the bilateral relations of Buenos Aires. While there, she became interested in paradiplomacy and the new ways in which cities and sub-state entities handle their external affairs, which was the topic of her YCA thesis. Currently, she works as an international affairs advisor at the National Ministry of Transport and she is Academic Coordinator at the Master in Economics and Business with Asia Pacific and India at Universidad Nacional Tres de Febrero.
